Squash Championships
Thank you all for joining in the annual championships, and especially to those who came along to spectate and support on the 22 May.
We were treated to 2 very exciting and skillful matches, every game close. Both winners confessed afterwards that they might not have held on to win if they had lost just one of the close games, such was the energy exerted.
Our new Club Champion is Harry, beating Piers to 12, 12 and 13 in a punishing battle. The Plate Event winner was Lee, edging out David by 3 games to 1.
All four players have improved tremendously over their time playing at the club. It is not so long ago that Harry was out for months with an ankle injury.
